Well It's the eve of the Club a'Gogo Heritage Plaque unveiling ceremony. And we are starting to get a little nervous 😬 and excited !! Tables for the Gogo gang, band members and dignitaries are reserved, the Animals tribute band Animal Tracks are primed to entertain us and my hubby Paul is ready to play what we love on vinyl, oh and best clobber has been ironed.
This is a flippin amazing day for Newcastle as it's not every day a heritage plaque is awarded , especially for a venue, it's usually for an artist so this really is a momentous occasion. We have people flying in from all over the world for the unveiling which just goes to show the esteem in which the Club a'Gogo was held.
The unveiling ceremony kicks off at 11am (head to the Three Bulls Heads, Percy St) with a speech from the Lord Mayor then myself, Paul, Mike Grehan and Anne Wilson Cotton will do the actual unveiling . The After party will be held at the Tyneside Irish Centre, 1pm (Sold out).
