Urgent Help Needed!!

URGENT!! Deadline 18 April 2021

We are proposing a heritage plaque is placed at the site of the original Club a'Gogo in Newcastle. Our application to the Newcastle Historic Environment Advisory Panel must be submitted by the 18 April and it will further our cause to show the strength of public support but submitting a petition backing our application.

The Club a'Gogo was a huge part of Newcastle's musical heritage and was voted No 1 in the Guardian's 'Most Influential Clubs of the last 100 Years’

We would be grateful for your signature on this petition. The Club a'Gogo was the 'Home of the Animals'. Jimi Hendrix was discovered by Chas Chandler and started his career at the Club a'Gogo. Many famous names started their career at the club: David Bowie, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Elton John, Marc Bolan, Rod Stewart. Legendary American blues acts played at the club such as John Lee Hooker, Sonny Boy Williamson and Memphis Slim.

We feel it is only right and fitting that there should be a heritage plaque at the site of the club. This will benefit the region and allow visitors to see where the club was located.

Thank you for your support!

Jools and Paul
