The Official CLUB A'GOGO Walking Tour

Welcome to the only OFFICIAL Club a'Gogo Heritage Walk. To celebrate our success in gaining a heritage plaque for Newcastle's legendary Club a'Gogo the 'Home of The Animals' we bring to you a walk through Newcastle's rich musical past...

Walk in the footsteps of the North East Mods, Beats and Jazz lovers of 1950s and 60s Newcastle. Discover where the The Animals, Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix would hang out. Learn about the ‘Father of British Pop Art’ Richard Hamilton who taught Fine Art (as well as Bryan Ferry) at Newcastle's King's College. Starting in the 1950s and taking you right up to the opening of the Club a'Gogo in 1962. We will cover the key sites the culminated in the birth of this iconic club and ending of course, at the heritage plaque for the Club a'Gogo. Accept no imitations, this is the definitive and official Club a'Gogo walking tour.

All of our walking tours that have that personal touch. With groups kept deliberately small of no more than 6, you will be made to feel welcome and be able to fully interact, asking us as many questions as you'd like which is sometimes not possible with larger groups. There are also plenty of stop offs for photo opportunities. This is your tour and we do it at your pace. We hope you can join us! Jools and Paul

If you would like to personalise your tour further or would like to book a larger group then please get in touch via email at infoclubagogo@gmail.com to discuss your requirements.
